Breakfast and After School Club are available for our pre-school children and those attending Barnston & Thingwall Primary Schools.  We also offer After School care to children from other schools if transport can be arranged by school or parents.

Breakfast Club.

Children are offered a healthy, nutritious breakfast with a choice of cereals, toast, yoghurts, fresh fruit and milk, water or fruit juice.  After breakfast children have access to a wide range of resources and activities before the start of the school day. Children access school directly through the playground where staff will remain with younger children whilst they wait to go into their classrooms.  Our pre-school children remain at Buddies and are accompanied to their relevant rooms ready for morning registration.

After School Club

Children are collected from school at an arranged meeting point in the school playground, while our pre-school children move into Ladybird Room with a familiar member of the Buddies team. A range of activities are on offer which develop and enrich children socially, intellectually, physically and emotionally. Older children will be given greater challenges and opportunities to develop their own activities and projects. Arts and crafts, sport, music and drama, board games, computer and outdoor play are just a few of the activities provided. There is a quiet area for reading, homework or simply relaxing after a hard day at school. A cooked tea is available for an additional fee or alternatively children are offered a healthy snack and a drink to keep them going until they return home.
