We offer a wide range of childcare provision. The table below gives a brief overview of these services, which are described in full in the sessions page of the site.

Barnston Buddies is closed for the School Christmas Holidays and on all statutory Bank Holidays. Holiday club will operate during Barnston School development days.

Extended Resources

Barnston Buddies has a wide range of facilities providing a wealth of exploratory and imaginative learning experiences.

Sensory Room: available to all children on a small group basis. The relaxing sounds, soft lighting and soothing textures present a calming environment. Imagination can be stirred and senses explored with themed projector wheels, cd's, bubble tube and fibre optics.

Outdoors

 Barnston Buddies adopts a proactive, all weather approach to outdoor play and this is reflected in our vast range of outdoor experiences. Here children can engage in role play in the willow cave, playhouse and seaside area.

Development of physical skills is enhanced with the use of wheeled toys, timber platform, sports equipment and traversing wall. Sensory experiences can be broadened by interaction with the musical zone, texture walls and plant areas. Children have the opportunity to plant seeds and vegetables in our potting shed and growing plot, and reap the harvest.

Regular story telling and whole group time takes place in our sheltered meeting area.
